I have played on just about everysite, played many live games too, cash and tourney almost daily.

I have often defended online gaming sites with the arguement of why there are so many river bad beats as when you take into account the amount of hands per hour verses how many are played live it does equate to normality.

But Poker Host? The software is slow, we all know this, so I cant offer the same excuse, time after time you can flop 2 pair for someone to hit a set/gutshot or the likes on the river. I made a point of counting 17 action flops for 15 river beats today.

I understand numeric randoms and coding, but this just doesnt make sense when placed into comparision with this site. I understand donkeys, but again, even a donkey must hit, so i cant blame the donk right?

anyone else finding the site a bit strange for the beats?

Im almost scared for pre flop action on a prime hand

I'm not sure what you mean about the software being slow. There average hands per hour is actually higher than Full Tilts "even though that really depends more on the players than the software".

I haven't really looked into what rng that Merge uses or played a big enough sample of hands with them to argue your theory but take a look at the average hands per hour on ring games. PokerHosts ranges from around 100-200 and Full Tilts tops off at 120. I also looked at Poker Stars right now and they're topping off at about 150.

Yeah just a question. I guess I had a bad day or 2.

I was done the local casino last night playing soem 5/10 with the guys and we discussed it. Common senus is what I already know and that we percieve a lot of bad beats due to the the cyclic rate of games being played online can be 3 or 4:1 higher in reality.

We may see set over set flopped once in a 12 hr live cash game setting and see it twice in a 4 hour period online. Thats human nature. I just found it bizzare yesterday, quads flopped twice, both times whilst I had QQ or better, donkeys achieving the 2% suckout after an allin on the flop.

The software, seriously, I am having issues with it, I lag very badly and only Poker Host does this too me. But I like poker host as a site and what they offer. I like chatting with the guys from here during various games. One stage there i reinstalled twice at the recommendation of the Poker Host Staff.

I think they need more deposit options, because they dont really cater for me in that area. No way in hell will any site get my AMEX numbers. Western Union cash or cash alone works for me.

None the less, Its a great site. I intend staying and playing many of there games and larger tournies.

I really like there concept of the 100k at the end of May that you cant buy into. Play your way in and it will be a game. Not a games of morons with too much money or a donkamania session.

Retro get your ass there, I owe you some pain brother!

Steve
