Does anyone know what will happen to US accounts?

If/When the new legislation passes regarding online gaming, what do you expect will happen to our accounts? Do you think they will be deleted, locked, or simply cut off from deposits? What about freerolls and if we win in these will we be able to cash out?

I am just curious if anyone knows the details, or what they speculate will be the outcome. I have not had time to read the details of the new laws, but I did get a response from our Reps regarding what and why they are working with passing these changes to the law.

I don't even want to think about that but I'd like to think that our accounts would be cashed out and locked/deleted.

Anway, with everything how it is, it's very hard to say whats going to happen. Alot of states seem to be pushing for full regulation but alot of it seems to be on an intrastate level (e.g. Players from CA can only play with players from CA.) rather than a world market while other states want to ban it completly. The PPA is still working hard to get poker excluded from the UIGEA and I really hope it ends up in our favor.

The UIGEA deadline was pushed back to June 1st 2010 so we'll just have to see what happens then, I just really hope that poker is excluded from the bill.

What did you hear and from which reps anyway?

Now that I am thinking about it, I think it was our Governor here in AZ that responded with her take on online poker. I am not positive though, I sent a letter to the Reps too. I do know that the response I got did not look good, as it seemed to favor the whole "lets help those who can't help themself" bit.
